CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

The Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB), in accordance with the Act respecting to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, will not divulge any personal information it holds on a person without the consent of the person.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF INFORMATION POLICIES

All online payments are made directly to the Desjardins Financial Institution using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) system which encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

In addition, the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys does not store credit card details or data and that is why you are asked to provide your credit card details for any subsequent transactions.

REFUND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If a course is cancelled by the School Board, all fees will be refunded on your credit card.

All course fees are nonrefundable once courses have begun.

In case of illness, you will be refunded the entire amount minus $150 for administration costs.  Any request for a refund must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter (translated into French or English).

Visa

In case you were refused necessary entry documents, your courses will be refunded minus 150$ administration fees. Official letter of refusal from the Canadian Embassy must be provided.

REFUND POLICY (Language Courses)

A student enrolled in a language course, wanting a refund must send by mail a written request providing the reason for withdrawing from the course to the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys at the following address:

 Additionally, if the student has already received an official Letter of Admission, the student must ensure the original is returned along with his written request to the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys.

Refunds will only be made payable to the payer, either by check or credit card, in Canadian funds. The student should anticipate a processing time of no more than 6 weeks.

Cancellation before the course start date

The International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys must receive the cancellation request by mail.

• If the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys receives a refund request at the latest 7 working days before the start date of its course, all prepaid fees, less $ 150 administration fee will be refunded.

• If the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys receives a refund request less than 7 working days before the course start date, no refund will be made.

• In the case where a student who is enrolled for a period of more than two months must cancel, the refund will be calculated on the unused portion of the course, less $ 150 administration fee, as long as the International Institute of Languages Marguerite -Bourgeoys receives a written request by mail at the latest, 7 working days before the start of the new session.

Cancellation after the course start date

• No refund will be made.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada refusal

Students who are unable to obtain the necessary documents to enter Canada are entitled to a refund of all prepaid fees, less $ 150 administration fee. The student must submit a written request for a refund along with a copy of the refusal letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada and return the official Letter of Admission to the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys.

Cancellation by the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys

If a course is cancelled by the International Institute of Languages Marguerite-Bourgeoys, all fees paid will be refunded.
